Natanael Cano

Natanael Cano, born on March 27, 2001, in Hermosillo, Sonora, revolutionized music by blending regional Mexican corridos with trap to create the genre corridos tumbados. Inspired by Ariel Camacho, Cano taught himself guitar at 13, later combining corridos and hip-hop influences in his first YouTube song, “El de los Lentes Gucci,” at age 16. His innovative style gained traction, eventually leading to collaborations with artists like Dan Sánchez and Bad Bunny, who joined him on a remix of “Soy el Diablo,” solidifying Cano’s place in the genre he pioneered.

In 2019, Cano signed with Rancho Humilde, releasing hits under the label and becoming the first Mexican artist featured on Apple Music’s Up Next program. His albums Todo Es Diferente and Corridos Tumbados showcased his groundbreaking sound, earning him widespread recognition. With partnerships with Warner Music Latin and Apple Music, Cano’s influence has extended beyond regional music, cementing his position as a trailblazer in blending traditional and urban sounds.
