One That I Don’t Call

I don’t know how many miles are to the moon
But I’d drive ’em all and back again to get right back to you
I don’t know how many seconds are in a day
But I hate I have to spend ’em all just missin’ you this way
I could probably add ’em up and figure it all out
But the only number on my mind is killin’ me right now

It’s a Carolina area code
Followed by seven
With a voice on the other side
That kinda sounds like heaven
And I know I should forget it
‘Cause we don’t talk at all
But I know that number pretty well
For one that I don’t call

Well, there’s a chance that I might make that mistake
Get one or two or three away, till last call taps the brakes
I could take it outta my phone, but that won’t get me very far
The ones that just won’t go away are the ones you know by heart

It’s a Carolina area code
Followed by seven
With a voice on the other side
That kinda sounds like heaven
And I know I should forget it
‘Cause we don’t talk at all
But I know that number pretty well
For one that I don’t call, oh

Is it the devil or the whiskey
That’s got me seeing what I do?
‘Cause I’m staring down at my screen now
And that sure looks like you

It’s a Carolina area code
Followed by seven
With a voice on the other side
That kinda sounds like heaven
And I know I should forget it
‘Cause we don’t talk at all
But I know that number pretty well
For one that I don’t call
Yeah, I know that number pretty well
For one that I don’t call
