Born Jarad Anthony Higgins in Chicago in 1998, Juice Wrld rose to fame as a leading figure in emo rap and SoundCloud rap during the 2010s. Known for his introspective lyrics and genre-blending style, his stage name was inspired by Tupac Shakur’s film Juice and symbolized his aspiration to “take over the world.” Juice Wrld’s career breakthrough came in 2018 with the hit single “Lucid Dreams” from his triple-platinum debut album Goodbye & Good Riddance. His follow-up album, Death Race for Love, topped the Billboard 200, solidifying his status as a generational talent.

Juice Wrld’s life was tragically cut short in 2019 due to a drug overdose. Despite his untimely death, his music continued to resonate worldwide. His posthumous debut album, Legends Never Die (2020), broke records with multiple top-ten hits, including “Come & Go.” Collaborations with artists like Marshmello and The Kid Laroi showcased his enduring influence. Subsequent releases like Fighting Demons (2021) and a documentary highlighted his personal struggles and impact on modern hip-hop.
